How to Publish a Print Book on STCK

Publishing a print book on STCK is a guided, step-by-step process. STCK uses print-on-demand, so your book can be printed when a reader places an order. You do not need to buy or store a large quantity of books in advance.

Important: You need an active STCK Pro subscription to access the print book publishing feature.

Before You Begin

Prepare your finished book as a PDF. You will also need your book title, description, author name, short author bio, cover files, and an idea of the price you want to charge. Preparing these items beforehand will make publishing much quicker.

1. Start a New Print Book

Open the Books section from your STCK creator dashboard and choose Print Book.

Add the book title and a short description that tells readers what the book is about. Then add the author’s name and an “About the Author” introduction.

2. Upload Your Book PDF

Upload the PDF containing all the interior pages of your book. The file can contain 2–800 pages and must be no larger than 250 MB. It must also use one of STCK’s supported book sizes.

Set the PDF page size to the exact finished dimensions of the book. Do not add crop marks or trim lines, as STCK trims pages automatically and those marks could appear in the printed copy.

Next, choose a binding option when available, such as paperback or hardcover. Select the copyright statement that applies to your work and confirm that you have the right to publish its content.

3. Add the Book Cover

You can upload one full-spread cover PDF or provide separate images for the front cover, spine, and back cover.

STCK calculates the required cover size, spine width, and bleed from your book’s trim size, page count, and binding. Follow the dimensions shown on screen carefully. A full-spread cover should be prepared at 300 dpi. You will also need a front-cover thumbnail for your book’s listing page.

Preview the cover before moving on.

4. Choose Print Specifications and Pricing

Select the available cover finish and interior print style. Depending on your location and book, options may include matte or glossy covers and black-and-white or colour interiors.

STCK shows the printing cost based on your choices. Set a retail price above the required minimum, and use the earnings breakdown to see the print cost, STCK fee, and the amount you earn from each sale. Creators in India can set an India price as well as an international price.

Your book is available worldwide by default. If needed, you can exclude selected countries or limit sales to particular countries and regions.

5. Review and Publish

Review the title, description, author details, rights, price, and sales territories. Then choose Publish Now to make the book available immediately, or Launch as Pre-order and select an end date.

Click Publish to complete the process. STCK prepares the approved files and creates the live book page. After publishing, you can share the book with readers and order your own printed copies.

That’s it—your print book is ready to reach readers without the work of managing inventory or shipping books yourself.
